Popular Nollywood actress Erica Nlewedim recently shared that she intends to keep her wedding plans private until the day of the event. This revelation came through a post on her X page, where she expressed her belief that Nigerians aren’t the best audience for sharing personal good news.

Erica, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, made these comments in response to rumors about her colleague Sharon Ooja’s husband, Chief Ugo Nwoke. Allegations have surfaced that Nwoke was previously married and has been divorced three times.

Reflecting on how people in the country react to celebrities sharing relationship news, Erica stated she would prefer to have a private wedding and announce her marriage only after the ceremony.

She wrote, “At this rate, I will just let you know I’m married, because Nigerians are not people to share your good news with 🤦🏽‍♀️.”

This sentiment resonates with many public figures who choose to keep their private lives away from the spotlight, especially considering the often intense scrutiny from the public and media. Erica’s decision highlights the challenges celebrities face in maintaining privacy amidst public curiosity.

As Erica continues to captivate audiences with her acting talent, her fans eagerly await her future announcements, respecting her desire for privacy in her personal life.
