Letโ€™s dive into the fascinating world of hip-hop feuds. Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) have been embroiled in a heated rivalry that spans nearly a decade. Hereโ€™s a breakdown of their feud:

The feud began in 2012 when MGK (whose real name is Richard Colson Baker) tweeted about seeing a photo of Eminemโ€™s teenage daughter, Hailie. He complimented her appearance, but the comment didnโ€™t sit well with Eminem. Fast forward to 2018, and Eminem responded on the track โ€œNot Alikeโ€ from his album Kamikaze. In the lyrics, he addressed MGK directly, saying, โ€œIโ€™m talkinโ€™ to you, but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly / I donโ€™t use sublims and sure as f*** donโ€™t sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailieโ€.

The feud escalated with diss tracks flying back and forth. MGK fired the first shot with โ€œRap Devil,โ€ where he took aim at Eminemโ€™s sobriety and age. Eminem swiftly responded with โ€œKillshot,โ€ a scathing track solely aimed at MGK. The battle continued, with both artists trading lyrical blows.

Now, letโ€™s fast-forward to Eminemโ€™s latest album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grรขce). On the song โ€œBad One,โ€ Eminem raps, โ€œBut I gotta keep going Tyson on Kelly / I bodied him twice and already / That little motherf***erโ€™s back throwing subs like a food fight at the deli.โ€ And on โ€œGuilty Conscience 2,โ€ he name-drops MGK along with other artists, signaling the end of their feud. Back in 2018, their diss tracksโ€”โ€œNot Alike,โ€ โ€œRap Devil,โ€ and โ€œKillshotโ€โ€”captivated the hip-hop world, and while Eminem was widely considered the winner, MGK recently expressed a different perspective1.

The Eminem-MGK feud has been a rollercoaster ride of lyrical jabs, personal digs, and intense rivalry. Whether youโ€™re Team Eminem or Team MGK, thereโ€™s no denying the impact these two artists have had on the rap game. As fans, weโ€™ll continue to watch their interactions with bated breath, waiting for the next explosive verse.
