We were hit by the news of the Untimely death of Nipsey Hussle in March last year in what appeared to be a misunderstanding between Hussle and Eric R. Holder in a gang related argument which lasted for at least 4 minutes.

According to Hussle’s friend Herman Douglas who testified about a conversation he overheard between the rapper and Holder. Douglas said he heard Hussle tell Holder there were rumors he had been talking to authorities about the Rollin’ 60s gang and that police documents or court records showed it.

“You need to address it,”
“You know, basically telling the guy you need to be careful, you know, because people got some paperwork on you.”
Douglas remembers Hussle saying in a conversation outside The Marathon, the rapper’s South Los Angeles clothing store where he was shot minutes later.

He was reportedly shot at least six times.
In a disturbing footage that was recovered later, Nipsey appears to have a bullet wound in his head while emergency responders are delivering CPR. Although his condition was unknown shortly after the incident, he was ultimately pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Hussle’s killer  will reportedly stand trial this spring. According to New York Daily News Eric Holder was in a Los Angeles courtroom earlier this week when Judge Robert Perry said the trial is expected to start at the beginning of April and last roughly two weeks.

โ€œMr. Holder, as you know, this is an important case and a serious case,โ€ Perry reportedly said to Holder during court proceedings. โ€œโ€These cases take time to get ready for trial. You have the right to a speedy trial. โ€œAre you OK that we continue this case, and you come back on March 18 and we do our best to start your trial within 30 days. Are you OK with that?โ€

Holder who was dressed in a yellow jumpsuit and shackled at the waist replied, โ€œYeah.โ€

Holder was indicted by a grand jury last May on one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon by a grand jury. He was also indicted on two new counts of assault with a firearm.

He could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
