Bogart. is a producer duo; Marin & Jayztylez, based in Switzerland. They are heavily influenced by 90s and early 2000s Hip Hop and want to share their idea of the art of beat-making. As music lovers in general, they love to bring innovation and versatility to Hip Hop. But it’s a matter of honour to always come back to the roots. Bogart. released their first EP Late Starter in April 2020 and shortly after that, they landed a hit with their single Desire. A few single-releases later, in the beginning of 2022, their album Reality Check came out. On the album, the first collaboration with the rapper Man Of Met was happening and the track Whipped Cream became another hit. Later in 2022 they released the single Albert with an co-produced animated video clip. To this day, they’re preparing lots of beats in the background and continuously releasing singles. Another collaboration was released 2023/11/10 with the rapper Skee. Finest Hip Hop.
Heavily influenced by hip-hop in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Skee has spent years crafting his own style and sound in the genre. Long before being featured on New Hampshire Chronicle as "the rapping teacher," the story of Skee starts as a middle school student mesmerized by the melodic sound, speed, and confident delivery that defines hip-hop. Like many at the time, daydreams were filled playing albums while picturing one day controlling a microphone and a stage of his own. From the humble beginnings of recording onto cassettes to embarking on road trips up and down the East Coast to get labels to hear his demo, the theme of this unfinished story is one of persistence. Despite not making it to the biggest stages (yet!), Skee never stopped learning the art and doing what he loves: writing, recording, and sharing his story and passion through hip-hop. Crafting thoughtful and reflective lyrics over head-nodding tempos, Skee has brought his carefully honed sound to numerous local venues throughout the years. In addition to being featured on Chronicle, another highlight is winning the Seacoast (NH) “People’s Choice” award at the Spotlight on the Arts festival. And about that whole teaching and rapping thing...it would be remiss not to mention the unusual combo of a hip-hop artist who has a hobby (okay, a career) as first an teacher, then an assistant principal. Now, the passion for music crosses into career, with no signs of slowing down.
