New York rapper Ice Spice and U.K. sensation Central Cee have set the hip-hop world ablaze with their scorching new single, “Did It First.” The track, produced by RIOTUSA, marks their first-ever collaboration and is a tantalizing glimpse into Ice Spice’s upcoming debut album, “Y2K.”

In “Did It First,” Ice Spice delivers revenge-infused lyrics, drawing parallels between her romantic situation and the strategic moves in the children’s card game UNO. She’s unapologetic and ready to play that reverse card without hesitation:

“If he cheatin’, I’m doin’ him worse (Like) No Uno, I hit the reverse (Grrah) I ain’t trippin’, the grip in my purse (Grrah) I don’t care, ’cause he did it first (Like)”

Central Cee doesn’t shy away from his own infidelity, admitting:

“I’m selective with who I get with Gyal on my phone tryna see who I slept with She investigating, detective Lucky for me, I deleted the message”

The collaboration between Ice Spice and Central Cee is electric. Their contrasting styles blend seamlessly, creating a dynamic and unforgettable track. Ice Spice, born in 2000, is poised to take the next step in her musical journey, departing from her previous work and exploring fresh sounds.

Central Cee praises Ice Spice’s authenticity and drive:

“She don’t really care too much about the shiny stuff; but also knows how to play the game. And you can hear that in the music, and see that in the moves that she makes.”

The music video for “Did It First” dropped alongside the single, and it’s a visual feast. In line with Ice Spice’s trademark aesthetic, the video features her dancing in front of a corner store and twerking while lying on her bed. The Y2K theme is evident, with vintage desktop computers and chatroom images adding a nostalgic touch.

As anticipation builds, Ice Spice hints at more exciting collaborations:

“We’ve become good friends over the past year ever since he hopped on ‘Munch [Remix].’ But we’re gonna drop something new and exciting when we’re ready.”

Stay tuned for Ice Spice’s debut album, “Y2K,” set to release on July 26. And don’t miss her headlining tour across North America, kicking off in Washington, D.C., and hitting cities like Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami123.
