Over the years we have witnessed drastic growth in hip hop music, its use as a means of teaching the young blacks kids in the American inner cities by the likes of great veterans like Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube e.t.c. We have seen the use of Hip Hop by the afore mentioned great men in the fight against the oppression dealt on blacks by cops. In the movie Straight Outter Comptonit was the major weapon. Although it is often at times associated with drugs, and gang related crimes. Its importance can not be over emphasized. If Biggie Smalls, Tupac and Big Pun were around, they would all break down and weep. Why? Because, Hip Hop is dying. There is no more message, no more creativity. I think that is the main reason why M.I Abaga said “YOU RAPPERS SHOULD FIX UP YOUR LIVES”
