GloRilla Recruits Cardi B and More on Debut EP ‘Anyways, Life’s Great…’

2022 has been a great year for GloRilla - Memphis rapper who signed to Yo Gotti’s imprint CMG back in July. Anyways, Life’s Great… features Cardi B, Niki Pooh, and Hitkidd who produced the banger “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”

The yungin' has got the hip hop community buzzing for her way with words, her raspy voice, and her energetic persona after a video of Glo and her friends, “Set The Tone” went viral over a year ago – it is no doubt that she’s come a long way since then. “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B was another big moment for GloRilla, from there her talent has been undeniable.

Recently GloRilla opened up about her meteoric rise in an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe

“I get to take care of the people that I love, all my family and friends. I used be broke…I ain’t broke no more. And it’s by doing the thing that I love. I’m making money doing what I love to do. So, that’s everything. Yeah. I just stay prayed up, you know what I’m saying? Do right by everybody. I try not to let too much get … I try not to let everything just get to me so much.”

In that same interview, she opened up about her first time in the studio in 2018 which was made possible  by her Cousin. “My cousin had got me there. I just used to write raps, just playing around, just doing challenges and stuff. And so he was like, ‘You need to take it serious.’ So he booked the studio session. I’m talking about, I went in the booth to record it and I never wanted to go back. I said, ‘All right, this is all I want to do. This is all I want to do.’”

Yo Gotti shared the following on GloRilla back in July, “GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now.” We couldn’t agree more.
