Fans convinced Adele to release new album 'imminently' as billboards appear worldwide

Adele's fans are convinced that the sudden appearance of billboards around the world and a surprise announcement by Taylor Swift  is the imminent herald for the release of her long-awaited fourth album.

There has been speculations growing since last year that 33-year-old Adele is ready to drop the follow up to her 2015 album, titled 25.

There had been rumours that the record would be unleashed last year and that plans were stalled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

But now fans are convinced that the singer is finally about to release a new album – imaginatively titled '30' – in the coming days due to two key factors.

This weekend, social media posts have shown the sudden appearance of billboards emblazoned with the number 30 appearing around the world.

A building in Dubai had the number projected onto the side of it, while buildings in Ireland have been plastered with huge billboards featuring the number 30 written in yellow against a grey-green-blue backdrop.

Many fans have speculated that it is the title of Adele's new album following the release of her debut, 19, back in 2008, second album 21 in 2011 and the album titled 25 in 2015.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, one fan explained in response to the new billboards writing: "ADELE IS COMING!!! OMG!!!"

And another concurred, writing: "I'M SHAKING ADELE IS COMING OMG #30."

Meanwhile, the decision by Taylor Swift to rearrange the re-release of her own album, Red, has left fans speculating it is a strategically orchestrated move to leave the door open for Adele to enjoy easy chart success.

Taking to social media at the end of the week, 31-year-old Taylor announced she was pulling her planned release of Red from November 19 up to November 12.

Fans are now convinced this means Adele's 30 album will be released on November 19 instead.

Taylor wrote via Instagram : "Got some news that I think you're gonna like – my version of Red will be out a week earlier than scheduled (including the 4 disc vinyl) on November 12th!

"Can't wait to celebrate the 13th with you and our new/old autumn heartbreak album."

Taylor has been re-releasing her back catalogue with new versions of all her old songs after her rights were signed away from the original versions following a music deal.
